EasyWeb course authors don’t need to learn a new package to create materials. They can create web based content using a Microsoft Word style template or Microsoft PowerPoint documents.
Design flexibility
You can specify your own design styles (logos, fonts, colours
etc...) for the web pages that are created from the Word document.
Sophisticated and accurate conversion of source documents
EasyWeb achieves a 100% conversion of the marked up source
document. All features, for example, diagrams, activities,
objectives, quotes, assessments and case studies are matched
and converted to the new online styles.
Time and cost effective process
EasyWeb can convert documents into webpages in a fraction of
the time required for a manual conversion process. This makes the
process more cost-effective and allows you to bring new courses to
your market in a shorter timeframe
Create interactive content
A variety of question formats including true/false, yes/no, multiple
choice, matching, sequencing, drag and drop, highlighting, short
answer and fill-in the blank can be incorporated into the Word
document. EasyWeb recognises the question during the
conversion process and converts it into interactive format.
Integrates with the EASE environment
When EasyWeb is used with the EASE e-learning environment, it
is possible to create discussion forums and tests using other EASE
tools and to embed these in the materials creating a truly
integrated learning experience.
Online modules that can be enhanced over time
The outputs from EasyWeb are fully functioning online training modules. The materials can be edited and enhanced using EasyAuthor and industry standard authoring tools to incorporate video, sound, graphics and animation.
EasyAuthor
The EasyAuthor tool pallet contains a flexible range of templates that you can use to create multimedia pages. The pages are then assembled into learning objects or full courses. The end user can enjoy a course where information screens with texts, images, audio and video fragments follow each other in various combinations. Throughout the course, the user is
constantly stimulated to actively participate through numerous
question types with feedback.
Information templates
The EasyAuthor toolpallet contains pre-defined templates that
allow you to build pages of text, text with graphics, graphics, video,
video with text and start and end pages for sections. A range of
formatting commands can be applied to the text.
Question templates
EasyAuthor supports a range of activities formats including correct /
incorrect, multiple choice, drag and drop, ordering and short answer.
Interactive tests
Questions can be grouped together into interactive tests. You can
combine various formats of questions (e.g. multiple choice, drag
and drop) in a single test and specify the weight for each question.
Questions can be offered in a fixed or random order.
Branding and formatting
The templates can be branded to match corporate style requirements.
Course Overview
Course pages are assembled into a course using the Programme
Map Tool in EASE. As well as managing EasyAuthor pages, it is
also possible to link web pages, help files, to open external
documents and to start up other programmes.
Tracking
The EASE Reporting Tool enables EasyAuthor material to provide
a number of progress reports that allow you to track:
- How often the course has been used
- Average runtimes
- Which screens are being viewed
Portable materials
Course materials comply with SCORM and IMS requirements.
They can be integrated into the EASE e-learning environment or
any other SCORM compliant learning management system.
EasyQuestion
EasyQuestion makes it easy for course authors to write tests,
quizzes and surveys for web-based delivery.
Multiple question formats
The EasyQuestion authoring tool supports multiple question types
including:
- Fill-in-the-blank: the participant completes the missing words in a
sentence.
- Drag-and-Drop: the participant drags and drops words into
position.
- Matching: two series of statements/words are presented and the
participant matches items from one list to items in the other list.
- Multiple choice: the participant selects a choice from a range of answers.
- Multiple response: similar to multiple choice except the participant can
select more than one response.
- True/False: the participant selects true or false, yes or no (or other
specified Boolean) in response to the question.
Interactive tests
Questions can be grouped together into interactive tests. Various formats of questions (e.g. multiple choice, drag and drop) can be combined in a single test and specify the weight for each question. Questions can be offered in a fixed or random order.
Question banks
Questions are stored in question banks in an EASE database. It is possible to auto-populate the question banks using the EasyWeb™ tool.
Learner feedback
Participants can receive instant feedback at question or test level. Feedback can include hyperlinks to learning materials. It is also possible to specify the number of retries the learner is allowed and any optional questions.
Formal assessments
If the test is being used as part of a summative assessment, it is marked as formal and results are stored in the EASE Gradebook feature. Formal tests can be timed and online invigilated examinations can also be managed.
EASE comprises mix and match modules that can be used individually to meet specific needs or collectively to provide an enterprise wide learning and content management solution.
